Sizes are length × width × depth
For guitars that's overall length, body width and body depth. Amps and cabinets are height × width × depth.
Building tiny guitars
- Cut the body from 1 mm styrene or print it in resin. Filament is too coarse for the headstock at 1:24.
- Strings are optional at 1:24. A painted line reads as strings from a normal viewing distance. At 1:12, use the finest fly-tying thread you can find.
- Tolex on amps: a fine-grain sandpaper painted black gives the textured vinyl look.
The full stack in a corner, a worn rug and a couple of posters is all a 70s music room needs.
