Privacy policy

This page explains what personal data this website collects and what happens with it.
What we collect
- Contact form. When you send a message, we receive your name, email address and message. We use them only to reply to you, and delete them when they are no longer needed.
- Orders. When you buy something, payment is handled by our payment provider (Stripe or Lemon Squeezy). We receive your name, email address and, for physical products, your shipping address. We never see your card or bank details. We keep order records as long as Dutch tax law requires (7 years).
- Comments. When you comment on a blog post, we store your name, your comment and the date. Your comment is published under the post with your name after we approve it. No email address is needed. Ask us through the contact form if you want a comment removed.
- Visitor counter. To count visitors we store a scrambled code made from your IP address and browser type, which changes every day and can't be traced back to you. We don't use cookies for this.
- Likes. When you give a post, product or song a thumbs up, we store a scrambled code made from your IP address and browser type, so each visitor counts once. It can't be traced back to you, and no cookies are used.
- Server logs. Our host keeps standard technical logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security, for a limited period.
Cookies and tracking
This site doesn't use tracking or advertising cookies. YouTube videos only load from YouTube after you click play. At that point YouTube's own privacy policy applies. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts.
Affiliate links
Some links go to Amazon with an affiliate tag. If you buy something, Amazon may set cookies on its own site. We only see that a purchase was made, never who made it.
Your rights
You can ask us to see, correct or delete your personal data at any time through the contact form. You can also file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
